This return to grace owes a lot to the current 70s nostalgia, and gives our fall season looks a more pertinent finish.

During my all-too-frequent virtual trips to online boutiques and retailers, I often find pieces so fabulous, they absolutely demand to be shared. So, in addition to passing them along to my beloved clients, I wanted to let you in on the stylish fun, too...

This weekend we will be donning gloves, scarves and hats and venturing out into the cold, dark November evening for Bonfire Night.  Ready for rockets, sparklers and Catherine Wheels, my children will be looking forward to the explosive fun of November 5th.

For 2012 swimwear collections, brands are fusing technical innovations with fashion-focused designs. In a category dependent on sunshine and beach days, retailers are working more closely than ever with swimwear brands to make sure they are on par with trends in order to maximize sales next season.

With rising pricepoints, brands are including premium, high-end collections, and catering to more diverse style offerings. Maintaining good relationships with suppliers is a good way for manufacturers to minimize the effects of infl ation, according to Body Glove VP of Sales and Marketing Noah Gellis, who says most core retailers realize competing with big box chains on lower-end pricepoints is not as productive.

Last month, bobi premiered its Fall 2010 Collection on the Canadian catwalk at Montréal Fashion Week. Being among some of Canada’s most influential and creative designers, bobi showed off its zebra burnouts, stripes, stonewashed fabrics and new fashion bodies on the third day of the week to hundreds of fashionistas and Canadian media networks.

The name Brioni first appeared in 1945 when master tailor Nazareno Fonticoli and fashion designer Gaetano Savini opened one of the first men's fashion houses in Rome's central Via Barberini. The two partners named it Brioni after one of the most elegant resorts on the Adriatic coast. Its custom tailoring was a favourite haunt of Europe's aristocracy and has remained a reference point for quality shopping to this day.
